Volunteer to assist with field projects in RMNP

Chris Kennedy, Fish Biologist with the USFWS, handles the bulk of fish management in Rocky Mountain National Park. As a one-man crew, he relies heavily on volunteers to complete projects during the field work season, which generally runs from July through October. Trout Unlimited volunteers have been volunteering with Chris for many years to complete this important conservation work in RMNP.

To volunteer for the 2024 field season, you need to do three things:

  1. View the tentative 2024 season schedule by clicking on the “VIEW THE FIELD SCHEDULE” button at the bottom of this page and identify dates/locations you can attend.

  2. Download and fill out the Volunteer Service Agreement by clicking the “SIGN THE VOLUNTEER AGREEMENT” button

  3. Click “SIGN UP FOR A PROJECT” to generate an email to Chris’ project coordinator, Austin Austin Condon, awcflash@aol.com letting them know what date(s)/locations(s) you are available to help with. (Specific questions can be addressed to Chris, send email to chris_kennedy@fws.gov)
