  • August 5: Corral Creek Cabin Restoration
    This restoration project, part of the Greenback Restoration needs 5 people to volunteer for this week long adventure. Volunteers will be working with Historicorps and the US Forest Service to rebuild a cabin that will become the worksite headquarters for the Greenback Restoration program in the headwaters of the Poudre River watershed. Contact Phil Wright for details.
  • August 8: RMF Board Meeting at 7:00 PM. Members are welcome to attend any board meeting. Check with a Board Member for the meeting location and/or agenda.
  • August 22: Fishing Small Streams in Rocky Mountain National Park
    Small stream fun with dry flies in the Park makes for a great day! Four people (in addition to our hosts) will have to be the max since the water is so small. Contact Mark Miller.

On Hampshire’s River Itchen, you will fish beside the ghosts of Izaak Walton and G. E. M. Skues, among rose gardens and with many convenient benches for resting or deciding which fly pattern to choose next. Much of the bedrock here in southern England is chalk, which purifies the ground-water and makes it rich and alkaline. —Tom Rosenbauer
