- June 13: RMF Board Meeting at 7:00 PM. Members are welcome to attend any board meeting. Check with a Board Member for the meeting location and/or agenda.
- June 19: Training Meeting for Temperature Logger Installation
USFS and Rocky Mountain Flycasters, as well as other chapters along the front range have volunteered to install stream temperature loggers at remote locations. RMF has received a number of units to install in the Poudre River watershed. These loggers collect data that will be important in the reintroduction of native greenback cutthroat trout. Phil Wright has already installed one or more and is running a training session. Contact Phil Wright so you can attend this meeting. Other training sessions may be scheduled.
- June 24: Fish alpine Lake Agnes and Joe Wright Reservoir
Date depends on ice-out timing. We’ll fish for cutthroats early at Lake Agnes, then Joe Wright for grayling in the afternoon and evening hours. Beautiful cutthroats and it’s always a fun time catching grayling. Contact host Dave Morse.
- June 30: Save Our Rivers License Plates
The Save Our Rivers License Plate program will expire at the end of June unless we can get more people to sign up. We are getting close to the 3000 plates needed to keep the program going and your participation would help immensely. Go to: http://www.protectourrivers.net/ and be sure to mention Chapter 010 when you fill out the form.
Note of the Day:
Large rolling fish are interested, usually, in a nymph or a wet fly.
