Connor Murphy Returns!
A Fort Collins native, Connor Murphy has been an avid fly fisherman and trout enthusiast for most of his life. Over the last 15 years Connor has traveled the country as an exhibition fly tier in addition to competing extensively in both fly fishing and fly-casting. Connor has been a familiar face around St. Peter’s Fly Shop for much of the last decade as well, either in shop, teaching classes or guiding locally. Since his graduation from Colorado State University in 2017 with a degree in Fisheries Biology, Connor has spent his summers as a guide for Dave Duncan and Sons ltd. on the Kanektok River in Alaska.
Social hour begins at 6:30 pm at the Fort Collins Senior Center, and the program follows at 7:00 pm. We often have a local fly tier at each general meeting and an equipment raffle following the meeting. The Fort Collins Senior Center is located at 1200 Raintree Drive off Shields Avenue between Prospect and Drake. Additional meeting information.
Note of the Day:
Large rolling fish are interested, usually, in a nymph or a wet fly.
