Rocky Mountain Flycasters - Board Meetings

Rocky Mountain Flycasters Board Meeting Notes
June 11, 2014

Lee Evans with young fisher.
Meeting called to order at 8:10 pm. Attendence: Dick Jeffries, Gil Coleman, Bill Perrill, Bob Green, Jerry Pelis, Bob Streeter, Wil Huett, Ben Zomer and Lance Asherin. A quorum was not present so the meeting will not take any actions.

Dick reported on a successful kids fishing day at Red Feather.

Jerry Pelis informed the group that they had a total of 494 kids and 7 volunteers participate in the Children’s Water Festivals in Greeley, Loveland, and Ft. Collins.

Bob Streeter talked about the Poudre Runs Through It project and that the coalition will continue for an additional year as a informal organization. The organizers are seeking sponsorships for the bridge- funding welcoming any amount but preferring a $250 minimum.

BTRRC Fiscal Sponsor Update –

  • Nothing new to report, the grant sponsorship approved last meeting is still in the application process. For the USFWS grant, we will work through CTU, where the funds will be allocated for the Big Thompson but will be bundled with two other projects.
  • John G is looking at a couple of other activities but nothing firm for now.

Survey Results are in and Bob Green handed out a couple of printed results for the board members and all members. Participation in the survey was good with 177 complete and 15 additional partially complete returns. We discussed some of the results as a group. Bob will continue to analyze the results, which will be useful for the RMF strategic planning.

Meeting adjourned 8:30.

Reported by Lance Asherin, Secretary

Added 7/7/2014

Supplemental note to the June minutes, an electronic meeting of the Board was held on June 30th and at that meeting the grant application was approved for submittal by a 7 – 0 vote. Dick is now generating language for an MOU between Alo Terra Restoration and RMF. The development of that MOU should also lead to determining the relationship between RMF and others involved in the project and what if any agreements will be needed in that regard.
