- January 12: 2017 Volunteer Orientation Meeting

- January 18: Favorite Places We Fish
Mark Miller, our chapter Fishing Trip Coordinator, will present his 30 minute video about our chapter trips over the last several years. He’ll show our members a little of the fun we have on these trips, in hopes of encouraging more members to participate. “I think of it as a sort of celebration of all the special and beautiful places we have right here in our backyard, that we sometimes take for granted. And what better way to make new fishing friends than to see and fish new waters, as well as our beloved Poudre and Big Thompson rivers.”
Mark has shared a few of his videos with us through our Fish Story pages and they’re great. You will not want to miss this one.
Social hour and fly tying demonstration begins at 6:30 pm at the Fort Collins Senior Center, and the program follows at 7:00 pm. We will have a local fly tyer at each general meeting and an equipment raffle following the meeting. Admission is free and the public is welcome. The Fort Collins Senior Center is located at 1200 Raintree Drive off Shields Avenue between Prospect and Drake. Additional meeting information.
Note of the Day:
The first school or college…to have fly tying and fly fishing as a credited course in America was Pennsylvania State College.
