Note of the Day:

How long should you examine a pool on a trout stream before wading through it? As long as you can stand it, and at least 10 minutes. Trout will feed in surprisingly shallow water, as a big one is more concerned with being able to detect the approach of predators than it is in being close to deep water or other cover. source unknown
