- September 12: General Meeting. The Poudre River Foundation and Fishing the Poudre River will be presented by Rico Moore of the Fishing Department at Jax and Jin Choi of St. Peters Fly Shop.
Rob Buirgy of The Big Thompson Watershed Forum, previously scheduled for this month will provide us with a presentation later this season.
Augmenting the meeting will be a fall fishing report by Rocky Mountain Flycaster board members.
Social hour begins at 6:30, and the Program follows at 7:30. Admission is free and the public is welcome. See additional meeting information.
- September 15: Annual Poudre River Cleanup. Volunteers will meet at Picnic Rock at 8:30 AM, and be assigned areas along the River for cleanup. Let’s get the River clean for the National Fly Fishing Championship to be held on local waters the first week of October. Attend our meeting to get more details, volunteer for the River cleanup, or to volunteer to be a monitor for the Fishing contest. After the cleanup, burgers and cold beverages will be available. You can also get a T-shirt while supplies last.
- September 19: Board Meeting
Members are welcome to attend any board meeting. Check with a Board Member to find out where the meeting is being held.
Note of the Day:
I think I fish, in part, because it’s an antisocial, bohemian business that, when gone about properly, puts you forever outside the mainstream culture without actually landing you in an institution. It’s a nice position. No one considers you dangerous, but very little is expected of you.
