CTU Youth Conservation and Flyfishing Camp

Colorado Trout Unlimited is now accepting applications from students aged 14 to 18 for its fourth annual River Conservation and Fly Fishing Youth Camp, June 7-12 at Peace Ranch near Basalt. Applications must be received by March 30, 2009.

Colorado Trout Unlimited with Rocky Mountain Flycasters (RMF) and other local Colorado Trout Unlimited chapters, is sponsoring the week-long camp. This is an exciting opportunity for youth aged 14 to 18 to experience key principles of conservation and fly fishing.

RMF has, in the past, sponsored one attendee from our local schools, paying for their tuition and supplying some of the needed fly fishing gear, if needed. Youth with an interest in fly fishing and conservation are encouraged to apply. Space at the camp is limited, so make sure your application arrives on time.

You may download the CTU Application in PDF format. Most computers are supplied with a program that displays .PDF files. The best-known is Adobe's Acrobat Reader (for Windows, Macintosh, and *NIX systems) which may be downloaded for free from Adobe. Apple also provides Macintosh OS X systems with Preview and for Linux systems, gv (ghostview), xpdf, and several others.

Additional information and a sample schedule is also available at Colorado Trout Unlimited or contact a Rocky Mountain Flycaster board member.
